Hello!
My name is Baden Jaxen, formerly known as Dexter Strickland, Founder & CEO of Pup Park Shuttle. We genuinely appreciate the interest that led you this far in finding out who we are and what we provide for our pup's and their parents! Below, you’ll find a brief story about what inspired us to create this company and why we find pleasure in what we do—not just for the pups, but for the community as well.
Why I Created Pup Park Shuttle
My passion for animals has been a fundamental part of my life since I was young. I've cared for all types of pets, from hermit crabs and salamanders to ball pythons and bearded dragons. Living in an apartment that prohibited dogs meant I had to wait until my college years to finally adopt my own—a blue-eyed pit bull named Loso.
While having Loso was a joy, trying to juggle college classes and basketball practice made it challenging to provide him with the care he deserved. After long days, he would often be crated for hours, leaving him full of energy and stressed. Sadly, I realized that this environment was unfair to him, and it caused me to stress as well. Fortunately, a close friend was able to offer Loso a better life during that time.
Fast forward to today: while scrolling through TikTok, I stumbled upon a video showcasing a company that picks up dogs and transports them to a facility with acres of land for them to run and play. The concept struck me and brought back memories of my college days with Loso. I would have loved a service like that to help take care of him. I understood firsthand the challenges many people face—wanting the best for their dogs but struggling to find the time. I reached out to the company to discuss franchising, but when they declined, I realized it was a blessing in disguise. It motivated me to create Pup Park Shuttle and implement my own unique vision.
Pup Park Shuttle is more than just providing dogs with a fun outing, it’s about creating a healthier, happier community. By keeping pups active, social, and well-cared for, we alleviate stress for busy owners who may not always be able to meet their dogs' needs. Our service also promotes responsible pet ownership, strengthens the bond between dogs and their families, and allows connections to be made among dog lovers in the area. Happy pups lead to happier homes, and happier homes contribute to stronger communities—that’s the essence of everything we do!
